Welcome to the AI Funnelpreneurs Newsletter!

This newsletter is built on two game-changing ideas:

  1. AI is rewriting the rules of business—and is handing out superpowers to everyday people that were once reserved for big businesses.

  2. You can use these superpowers to build an AI-powered funnel, making solopreneurship more accessible than ever before

Here’s the deal:

  • AI can help you create attention-grabbing content (top of funnel).

  • It can generate sales assets that deliver value and attract engaged leads (middle of funnel).

  • And at the bottom of the funnel? Digital products that scale infinitely—zero delivery costs, unlimited leverage.

Each week, I’ll dive into a new AI tool, test how it fits into this funnel-building process, and share everything I learn: tips, tricks, and lessons from the trenches.

My mission? To build an AI-powered funnel that gives me solopreneurship freedom. A system that grows an audience, delivers valuable digital products, and runs without me trading hours for money.

As I refine the process, I’ll share all the tools and strategies so you can build your own AI-powered business too.

If you’re dreaming of freedom, flexibility, and an AI-powered business that works for you, hit that subscribe button, and let’s figure it out together. 🚀

Are AI Avatars Your Secret Weapon to Create Shortform Content on Autopilot?

Short form content creation is the engine that a new generation of business are built upon.

Whether it is a tech blogger, someone selling an online course, or your mate selling t-shirts on Etsy. Everyone has the potential to use content creation to capture attention and turn that attention into money.

So why don’t more people do it?

The number one concern people have is being uncomfortable being on camera. I have definitely felt that in the content I have created in the past year.

This fear prevents so many people from making that one social media post that could change their lives.

But there is hope yet! It seem like for the first time in history, people can now actually create AI avatars of themselves that do not look like absolute abominations.

An AI avatar is a digital clone of yourself that looks exactly like you and can mimic real facial expressions. It even has the same voice as you.

The uncanny valley is the uncomfortable feeling we get when we look at something that looks human but we can tell it is not. You get this feeling a lot when looking at animated movies.

The uncanny valley has prevented AI avatars from being a useful option for social media content.

However, for the first time ever, we now have AI tools that can create AI avatars that overcome the uncanny valley.

The First AI Content Tool to Overcome the Uncanny Valley

HeyGen lets you create an AI avatar of yourself by uploading only 5 minutes of footage. It is able to replicate your facial expressions and move your lips in sync to an AI voice clone it creates just by inputting a script.

So now you can write out any script and HeyGey will turn this into a video of you saying it, that you never actually recorded in person!

So, does it work?

Only if you know how to set it up properly with the right training data and stack it with other AI tools.

Varun Maya is a massive YouTuber with almost 700k subscribers on YouTube. All his short from content (and some long form) is now made using HeyGen and you can’t even tell it is an AI. Scary right!

How to Create Your Own AI Avatar

I tested out the software myself and after hours of trying out different ways of creating my AI avatar, I came up with a way of creating your AI avatar that looks very realistic.

My AI Avatar 👇

Here are my must do tips to create a useable Avatar in HeyGen:

  • Use your phone or a professional camera to record in 4K 60 fps (most iPhones can do this). It makes a big difference!

  • Try to not to blink too much

  • Keep your eyes focused on the camera the whole time

  • Try to use a lot of hand movements (sounds counter-intuitive but it makes the video come out a lot more realistic)

  • Try to increase the level of expression on your face by 30% as it is toned down in the avatar

  • Expect to make many avatars and improve using trial and error (you won’t get a useable avatar with the first video you upload to train the AI)

HeyGen will also clone your voice but it is not great yet. That is why I used Elevenlabs which has incredible voice cloning. I used a professional voice clone and uploaded 2 hours of audio to train it.

Here are my top tips for cloning your voice:

  • Create a script using ChatGPT and ask it to be about the topic you make content on. Here is the sneaky bit, ask it to use the most commonly used words in your niche and the English language to produce a higher quality voice clone.

  • Increase the level of expression in your voice by 30% as the AI will tone you voice down.

  • Try to use a professional microphone and limit background noise

Should You Use an AI Avatar for Content Creation?

My conclusion after using this technology is that the barriers to making content are about to get a lot lower.

In most influencer led businesses, the influencer is the primary bottleneck and always needs to be in front of the camera. This removes the need to ever film again and allows you to focus your time on coming up with ideas and creating the script.

It is much quicker and cheaper to make studio quality content. Also, your content is more to the point as your avatar reads your script exactly as it is instead of the normal extra waffle and filler words that come one when speaking to a camera.

Will all content creators start using this?

Definitely not! At least not for now…

You can definitely tell it is an AI if you watch intently for a couple of minutes because of small movements that seem a little off. The technology is definitely ready to disrupt a lot of short form content and some long form if you are clever with the use of other footage to mask any unnatural movements from your avatar.

Also, this technology is more suited to educational content instead of entertainment. With educational content, you are primarily trying to communicate across a new idea, so this tech works fine.

With entertainment, you need to be able to use a wide array of vocal tones and facial expressions to entertain people.

So it is great for the course creator teaching their audience something compared to the lifestyle influencer who wants to show their audience the meal they have cooked.

Key takeaways:

  • We have crossed the uncanny valley - AI avatars that are indistinguishable from real humans are here.

  • If you want to make content and are uncomfortable on camera, AI now has a solution for you!

  • This technology is best suited to short from educational style content (for now…)

  • Use HeyGen for the video and Elevenlabs for the audio for the best result.

It is very important to remember…

The whole point of making content as an aspiring solopreneur, is to build trust with an audience. So make sure you use this tech in a way that still allows you to build a relationship with your audience.

Thats all for this edition!

Until next time,
